  • Boys should wear athletic shorts and t-shirts.
  • Street clothing, loose-fitting apparel denim, buttons and zippers aren't appropriate for class.
  • Please remove ALL jewelry before class and leave it at home.
  • Hair should be pulled back, out of the athletes face; preferably in a ponytail.
  • Please contact the gym to speak with your class instructor if you have a question that is not answered above.
  • All-Star Athletics apparel, gym bags and accessories can be ordered through the gym office. Check with a staff member for upcoming order dates!
What should I do if I miss a class?
  • For the safety and steady progress of our athletes, we do our best to control our class sizes and the student-teacher ratio during training. In an effort to provide predictable class sizes and adequate coaching staff, we offer make-up class BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. You can schedule your makeup date through the gym office. Please note that walk-ins are NOT accepted.
  • If you will miss a class for an extended amount of time due to an injury or illness, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you!
What type of safety and certifications does the All-Star Athletics & Gymnastics hold?
  • As a USA Gymnastics Member Club, we pride ourselves on a positive, safe and progressive learning environment. Our coaches and assistants receive safety training and education within their sport on a regular basis. Our knowledge and experience of the skill progressions recommended by USA Gymnastics allows us to deliver positive results for athletes at every level and produce award-winning performances from our competitive teams.
  • Our wide variety of staff cerifications include: USAG, UCA, AACCA, CPR/Heartsaver Certification with the American Heart Association.
  • We are extremely proud of the accomplishments from our coaching staff. With professional coaching experience through USA Gymnastics, as high school and collegiate coaches, and as former competitive gymnasts/cheerleaders/performers, they bring valuable knowledge and experience to the program to share with your children.
What payment options are available?
  • Student Accounts: If you have questions regarding your student account, please stop at the reception desk and we will be happy to assist you.
  • Tuition payments should be made at the beginning of the season or semester. A locked tuition payment box is available in the reception area and may be used for payments if the reception desk is unattended. Members may opt for a monthly or half-semester payment plan. Gym holidays have been accounted for in our schedule and are not cause for a pro-rated payment.
  • Lump season payments are due by September 5th and are eligible for a 10% savings. Keep in mind, lump season payments are non-refundable.
  • Each semester you may opt to split payments into two or three installments. If you chose the convenience of monthly auto-debit, your tuition will be charged to the account on file on the first day of each month. If you are on an automatic debit plan, you must freeze your account five (5) days prior to the scheduled debit date or your account will be charged. Please notify the gym office in writing or by email regarding program withdrawal if you are on an automatic debit plan.
  • For your convenience, we accept VISA, MASTER CARD, and DISCOVER for your tuition payments.
I'm a parent; can I observe my child or children during class time?
  • Parents are welcome to observe classes on an ongoing basis. We use many drills and skill progressions to build body awareness, strength, and improve technique. Much time is spent on drills that lead up to bigger and more difficult skills. Repetition of certain exercises is important for muscle memory. You will notice that the kids will perform repetition of basic body shapes and exercises during every workout.
  • Sibilings and visitors must remain in the waiting area.
  • Only registered members may participate in class.
  • For your safety, absolutely no one is permitted on the gym floor and/or apparatus without the supervision of an All-Star Athletics & Gymnastics coach or staff member.
  • If you have any questions about class activities or your child's class placement, please ask!
What is open gym?
  • We offer weekly OPEN GYM!  For information and current schedules, please contact the gym office.
  • Different than a group lesson, this is an open forum where kids can choose the skills they want to work and the stations they want to visit. Because of the open structure, you must be seven (7) years old to participate in OPEN GYM.  This age restriction is waived for competitive team members under age 7.
  • To maintain a safe environment, open gym is monitored by members of our coaching staff. Coaches are available to assist gymnasts, spot skills and ensure safety.
Where should I park?
  • Parking is available in the front of our building and to the left of our entrance. Overflow parking is also available to the left side of our building.
  • Please DO NOT park in front of Southern Foods, AIS or other neighboring businesses.
  • We often find a considerable amount of trash, cigarette butts, etc. in the parking area. Trash cans are available throughout the facility so please help maintain a clean and healthy environment for our members!
What do I do if the weather is bad?
  • During inclement weather, please call the gym for a recorded message regarding class cancellations. You may also view both KDKA-TV and WPXI for gym closings or delays.  Weather-related information will also be posted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.  FOLLOW US for updates!
  • We allow for one (1) SNOW DAY each season, without providing a makeup day. Should it become necessary to cancel more than one (1) lesson for your child due to poor weather conditions, makeup classes with be offered.
  • Keep in mind, school closings and delays occur early in the morning. Often times, the roads are cleared prior to the start of our programs.
  • Please do not assume we are closed!  As long as our staff can travel to the gym safely, we will be open for training!
